Fellow Nigerians in the Americas

I am highly honored as Chairman of NIDO Americas to serve members of the organization as an agent to contribute to Nation building in Nigeria.

I also would like to thank the officials that established NIDO Americas as well as the past Directors of the organization that have worked hard to contributing to the organizations mission and vision

NIDO Americas is one of the four divisions of NIDO worldwide comprised of members from South America and North America. The organization is structured into eight regions

Our mission is to promote the spirit of patriotism, networking and cooperation among Nigerians in the Diaspora, thus mobilizing the vast resources of manpower and machinery towards building a greater Nigeria.

NIDO Americas  is organized as a not for-profit corporation and is headquartered in Washington, DC.

I would like to inform our existing and prospective members that other countries like India, China, Korea, and Mexico have Diaspora organizations that are working effectively to promote developments in their respective countries and I hope members of NIDO Americas do the same for Nigeria

There is an African Diaspora which is hosted by the World Bank while NIDOA has its office in the Nigerian Embassy in Washington, DC.

This organization is more desired today more than when it was conceptualized considering the amount of problems facing Nigeria today, particularly from our battered image to lack of development that can match with our population which is responsible for high level of unemployment, crime and abject poverty.

I am encouraging all Nigerians in the Americas who share our vision and mission to join this great organization so that we can all work together collectively to help develop Nigeria and our Diaspora community.  Nigeria can be great if most of our professionals in the Americas that are performing excellently well are ready to contribute their knowledge and expertise in its development

President John F. Kennedy once said, “Think not of what your country can do for you but  what you can do  for your country .”  But since Nigeria is still considered an undeveloped country, I am sure you will get a high return on any development initiative you may take to Nigeria.

I look forward to your registration as a member of NIDOA and working with you in the development of Nigeria and its future.
